- Girls started their 2 day a week program today....yippee!
- I think I was way more emotional and nervous than Abi .....she was bouncing off the walls and could not wait to ditch us this morning.
- Rory however was more cautious and reserved....she did not want me to leave her in the classroom....interesting difference between 1st child and 2nd!
- Enjoyed freedom today to work in peace and quiet in the house, ran to Michael's without having to say out loud 500 times to stop touching things!
- Picked girls up from school to hear all about the fun stuff they did....and to find their lunches half eaten????
- However having a great day at school means having a melt down of an afternoon at home....wowsers!
- Already looking forward to Thursday day at school....I am going over to a friends house to learn the craft of wood burning....I am so excited...wish me luck.
- On a side note....my girls are playing the Food Network right now while eating dinner....
- It is fun to listen to them describing their food and tell you how to eat it properly as if they are being filmed....
- I think I must watch that channel a bit too much?????

Hello Hello!!!!! Ok so the last two weeks have been difficult but I believe I am making small strides to a better outlook on this whole loosing weight and getting healthy thing. I think what it is is that I really get stressed and crave foods like carne asada burritos and pizza....not while I have not indulged in the pizza...Brian and I did split a carne asada plate (no rice or tortilla) so that is just the meat and veggies....it is not the best but it did help the cravings!!!! I worked out double what I normally do and I even managed to take the kids to all of the workouts. I signed them up for the unlimited use child care pass....you pay one monthly fee. For me it has helped because I am not thinking about paying each time I bring them.
So I realized I did not post last week on the progress....so here is last weeks info...
dropped 2 pounds after vacation(back to pre-vacation weight)
another 2 lbs.....
I have officially lost 10 pounds!!!! Yay!!!! Today is the 1st mini goal...10 pounds is a big deal when I have not been able to drop more than 6 in the last year and a half!!!!!
So celebrate with me....go for a run or a walk hit the gym do something to get those endorphins pumping!!!!!!

Today was our first official day of school....it was much anticipated by the kids....not so much by me. You know I have used this last week to prep as much as I could...buying supplies, getting out the stuff I packed away for the summer, meeting with teachers and counselors to pick up curriculum and of course setting up our work area. However nothing can really prepare you for everything. Even though I school only 2 children it is sometimes like having 20 kids!
But as for today we had a great start to our year. We did some math and basic calendar info. I find it funny that all Abi did when I was trying to instruct her was giggle and cover her face....was I funny or the material...not sure but she was happy giggling away. We sang the number one song and traced some things. (Rory enjoyed being on the opposite side of the table telling Abi how she did that and how she already knew that...this may be quite a long year )But that was pretty much our first easy day....we are gently getting back into school. Next week we will have more work and time dedicated to school but for the next few days we are keeping it light and fun!!!!
I do have to make special note that we did something different today that I have not done yet in the two years of schooling Rory....we opened up our session of school with a time of prayer and devotion. Wow....it made a huge difference! Thank you Lord!!!!!

I am working on a little something for my nephew that has not arrived here yet...he is still baking in the oven. Jake should be here hopefully around Oct. 27th.....But I have had so much fun looking for boy clothes and boy stuff....you know shopping for girls is a much more exhausting shopping experience...worrying about matching and colors and all....but boys somehow (I am not sure how) everything matches????why is that??? But I have a great time looking for cute little rompers in primary colors and blue and green. Just in love with the little boy section. Honestly I see it becoming a problem. So instead of having other problems I would say over shopping for my soon to be here nephew (and I sure his parents don't mind)is not a huge problem.
So on top of shopping for Jake. I have been working on a few little somethings for him. One he does not get till Christmas. But the other little something will be done in time for his shower. I am so excited to have another little boy arriving in the family. I have 2 other nephews on my side of the family but this is the first little grandson/boy/nephew arriving on the Simpson side of the fam...so needless to say we are all excited.

Well Day 2.5 in PCB (panama city beach, fl) and we are enjoying some down time and cooler weather. We took our time this morning and enjoyed some time at the beach 9only steps away from the hotel...and then headed to the pool. As I got to my lounge chair to enjoy some pool time the skies opened up and begun to pour on us. I did not move nor did I mind. It has been so hot here that a little rain was wonderful. However once we saw a lighting bolt well our time outside was done....and if it would have been a small one no worries but the storm was a brewing and we knew it was just beginning....so we settled into our room for a show with lunch. It has been amazing to sit here on the patio and type this and see the lighting hit the water and hear the thunder rattle the ground around us....I just love it. We never get anything like this in southern California...I love the smell of the rain and salt air blowing in my face. I had to move inside at one point because the wind picked up and begun to blow all the rain into the patio....however I am now back outside enjoying this reprieve from the heat that has been hanging around for the last few days here.....Enjoy some pics of the storm clouds....This was the view looking up from my lounge chair at the pool......I put the building in this pic to show the contrastFrom our room.....
